Introducing Pacific Cedar Leaf Oil
With a different composition than traditional cedar leaf oils, Pacific Cedar Leaf Oil stands out as an attractive fresh and cedary note. With an impressive vibrancy, it is particular useful for perfumers who are already using cedar leaf, armoise or wormwood oil in their formulations.
Thuja plicata
Whereas regular cedar leaf oil comes from an eastern Canadian species called Thuja occidentalis (White Cedar), Pacific Cedar Leaf Oil comes from a different species called Thuja plicata that is primarily found on the west coast of Canada. It differs from the oil of Thuja occidentalis in that it has a higher thujone content and a fresher, crisper aroma.
